Basketball time

It's basketball time in the Rockies. Though that season of my family's life has passed, and it was a 15-year season, we had fun last weekend with the state scene. We watched Wheatland win their boys and girls semifinals at the 3A regional tournament. We'd have gone to see the U. of Wyoming Cowgirls battle it out with the BYU Cougs in Laramie if my cousin Glen's high school boys team hadn't been playing in the 2A State Tournament. We ended up spending the afternoon in Casper with my aunt and two of her sons' families, eight little cousins. The next generation of basketball players.

And here is my rug collection, save two.
The proprietor doesn't love what they add to her
hydrangea-themed room, but she's nice to let me put them out.

Such a lovely collection!

Thinking of you today, recalling Ash Wednesday in a city of dust and rubble...

Ah yes March Madness - one of the most memorable cross-cultural experiences I had in our previous watan. As a Brit I'll never understand the whole college sport thing...or basketball for that matter.

Love the rugs....and very jealous at having to leave without any of my own. Still the 'Little Persia' rug shop up the road from me is always there ready to take my money.

An early Nao Roz mubarak to you Hannah
