Pat and Chuck P. celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept 12, 2012 with friends in their freshly-painted garage. Grilled pork, a swarm of salads, Pat's famous rolls with homemade apple butter, and two kinds of deserts were served. Among those in attendance were eight old friends of the couple who had attended the wedding in Maysville, Arkansas on a hot day in 1952.
The couple, who celebrated with the rest of their family and friends in July, were joined by one granddaughter who hadn't been able to attend in July. She and her husband treated the guests to a fashion show, dressing in the original lace wedding dress and suit coat from the day, respectively.
A good time was had by all.

Very, very cool. In all ways.
It's sort of amusing that my extended family often hosts celebrations of one sort or another in the garage. Is this unique to the upper Midwest?
