Now is a time of watching and waiting. We wait for phone calls, watch for emails, go for walks at Vedauwoo, visit our sisters for breakfast, pack our bags for 11 days in Michigan.
When we realized we'd gone a whole season and not yet seen the Colorado Rockies baseball team, and that Dad's birthday is in two weeks (#60!) and we'll be far apart, we hastened to Coors Field. Though the Rockies played pitifully, losing 5-15, everyone had the chance to throw peanut shells at each other, we ate a Todd Helton burger, Dad caught a ball tossed into the stands at the end of an inning, and the game finished with a sensory-overload fireworks show. And then summer was over.

Looking good! No better gift for Dad than a Rockies game! Thanks for making it happen!
