To be a bit vague but still impressive:
The night before last a German lady had me over for dinner. Naturally, I was discussing the Olympics. I'm sure I was gushing about Vancouver, when she said her brother won a gold medal in Calgary in 1988. I think he was actually competing for our then-arch nemesis. It's hard to top that. He's in Canada this year as a coach. Pretty cool, huh.
