Weathertop

Abby is, as we have previously noted, a reluctant hiker. However, she's an intrepid walker and today we went on a walk. It was mostly uphill through a sheep pasture to a road alongside one of the mountains.

"Mountain" is a somewhat relative term. The highest one in Faroes is Slaettaratindur at 2,900 ft above sea level and we definitely were not that high, but since the terra starts at the bottom of the ocean and considering the pitch, they're all respectable.

Abby had in mind walking to the end of the road, or maybe the first cairn. But the top entices me. So I told my reluctant hobbit that we were hiking to Weathertop. It was just the ticket.

By playing Middle Earth, we made it. It took slogging through the Dead Marshes, but we made it.

If you're really from Klaksvík, we hiked the mountain from which Klaksvík takes its name (Klaker?). Durid Færø can run up it.
