Landing on my feet

Being here with Anduin and Ryan, and the responses I got when things fell apart last month, fills me with such a sense of gratitude. Nothing has solidified yet as far as what to do with the rest of my life, but I have places to land. I can't understand they "whys" of the disparity between me and people on the edge. But I'm grateful.

We went to the wedding of one of Ryan's friends yesterday. They read part of Romans 12, "Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality."

When we debriefed at the reception, Anduin and I had both noted "practice hospitality." So here I am, eating their food, staying in their guest room, trying to win over their cat, and headed to the cabin again with Anduin's whole family.
