Rocket Science

The co-worker for my projects, besides Karen, was Anja.

Anja and her husband, Tim, moved near Chugwater because they bought a special piece of property, the sort not available many places. It is a (decommissioned) Atlas missile silo, perfect for the entrepreneur in Private Space, which Tim is. They live in the converted bunkers and Tim creates in the three rocket halls.

I can relay loads of half-baked anecdotes, but I think it's true to say there is 1960$4-6 million of concrete involved in the place. And that while it would not have withstood a direct hit, it would have been adequate shelter if a nuclear bomb had hit half a mile away. Christ have mercy.

Tim is an aerospace engineer pursuing Private Space because historically, also my inadequate re-telling, when people got fed up with their monarch, they immigrated to the great wide open. Now that all the wide open is closed and known and occupied, Tim views space as the next frontier.

I got to go for a test firing with my cousin, Anduin. It did not go as they hoped because the hydrogen peroxide fuel started leaking out of the circle bearing. And one of the switches corroded. But, that's business.
